How to Choose the Best Pumpkin Patch in Fort Worth and Dallas

There are so many amazing pumpkin patches in North Texas, so it can be difficult to decide which one to bring your family to this season!

One important factor to consider is cost. A pumpkin patch in Fort Worth or Dallas can range from free admission to general admission costing as much as $24.95 per person. There is often a difference in price for weekend admission when compared to a weekday, so that’s something to consider as well.

When deciding which pumpkin patch in Fort Worth to go to consider:

  • Photo Ops– A pumpkin patch is not only a great place to find a pumpkin or wander through a hay maze, but it can also be the perfect place to get an adorable fall family photo. Many pumpkin patches in Fort Worth and Dallas have a pumpkin village, several fun character cut outs, or hay bales set up for the perfect photo.
  • Cost– Aside from the admission into the pumpkin patch, you’ll want to consider other costs as you plan your trip. Check to see if there is a picnic area where you can bring in outside food, or decide if you will need to bring money to spend at the food trucks
  • Activities– Are all the different activities included in the price of admission, or will you need to pay extra for special events like pumpkin painting, face painting, and wagon rides?
  • Gift Shop– If there is a gift shop or family farm store where you can buy a fresh pumpkin pie, kettle corn, or delicious batch of apple butter, you’ll want to be prepared with some extra cash.

The pumpkin patches at Fort Worth and Dallas churches seem to be the most frugal. You can drive up, park at the church for free, and go right into the pumpkin patch. Usually, the costs seem to benefit a ministry within the church too, which is a bonus.

However, there are many pumpkin patches in Fort Worth and Dallas with lots of added entertainment. Some places have over 20 activities all bundled into one price.

To make choosing a pumpkin patch near you as smooth as possible, I have divided up the options by town below.
